Dr. Fernandez has performed and managed numerous projects for the design of foundations and structures of major power generation infrastructure, including safety related facilities for nuclear power plants (NPPs), gas-powered generation units, and hydropower plants. He has been involved in numerous seismic expert committees and has acted as the Technical Integrator for the Senior Seismic Hazard Analysis Committees (SSHAC) for nuclear power plants in the United States and abroad. He has over 25 years of experience and has received Masters and Doctorate degrees in civil engineering from Carnegie Mellon University with specialization in computational mechanics applied to earthquake engineering.

She has served as the technical lead for site investigation, characterization, and remediation projects related to nuclear site licensing, contaminated site clean-up, nuclear waste site monitoring, and dam reconstruction. Dr. Gross has the expertise to establish hydrologically-related design bases, performance requirements, and bases of operations important to safety considering floods (PMP/PMF); potential dam failures; probable maximum surge, seiche, as well as combinations of conditions. She has received Masters and Doctorate degrees in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University
